ROCK SOLID TECHNOLOGIES GRANTS SCHOLARSHIP TO OUTSTANDING STUDENTS

For sixth consecutive year, Rock Solid Technologies recognizes outstanding students of Puerto Rico the "Rock Solid Scholarship".
This year the winners were Luis A. Luciano Figueroa and Edgardo J. Ramos Rodriguez, students of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. These future engineers are full time students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department majoring in
Software Development.
The prize was announced in an activity celebrated at the university and consists of $1,500 and the opportunity to work during the summer
with the company. Rock Solid Technologies is an Information Technology organization, recognized in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean for the development of software solutions and consulting services.
In order to participate, both young men had to fulfill the following requirements: to be students with a general average of 3.00 or above, completing studies in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science. As part of the process they were also required to complete an application and present a copy of their résumé, official transcripts, and two letters of recommendation.
Additionally, the students wrote an essay in which they exposed the reasons of why they should to be selected, their strengths and weaknesses, and provided suggestions to help develop the economy of Puerto Rico. As the last stage of the selection process, both students were interviewed by Rock Solid Technologies top executives.

ROCK SOLID TECHNOLOGIES IS THE FIRST CITRIX PLATINUM PARTNER IN PUERTO RICO & THE CARIBBEAN

Once again, Rock Solid Technologies shows its compromise with the re-known company Citrix Systems, Inc. by becoming the first Platinum partner in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. This achievement was made possible through close collaboration between both companies. " From the start, we have had a strong relationship with Citrix, full of respect, communication and mutual support" explained Eng. Ángel L. Pérez, General Manager, Rock Solid Technologies.
The story begins five years ago when Rock Solid Technologies had the vision of what would be the future of technology access. The company decided to accept the challenge and become a partner of Citrix Systems, today a global leader in these technology solutions. "We are distinguished for our services and solutions. We became a Citrix partner with the idea of providing clients fast, effective and secure business solutions" expressed Eng. Pérez.
As part of their innitiative, both companies commited to analize and educate the market about their products and solutions. " We took on the task to carry out educational lectures for executives of the public and private sectors. Educating over one thousand professionals in the industry." Rock Solid currently has customers in the banking, insurance, pharmaceutical, distribution industries and the public sector.
After completing the certification process, Rock Solid Technologies became the only Platinum partner in Puerto Rico & the Caribbean. As part of the requirements, the partner must have four Citrix Certified enterprise Admnistrators (CCEA) and six Citrix Certified Sales Professionals (CCSP). Each of them have to pass a total of seven exams.
The company is proud to have Jacinto Ramos (middle) as part of their work team. He was the first CCEA in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. " It is very important for us to have talented people like Jacinto in our company. His innitiative and compromise have been a key to this importante achievement" expressed Eng. Pérez.
