ROCK SOLID RECOGNIZED WORLDWIDE July 2011 / Los Angeles,California
Rock Solid Technologies, Inc. (Rock Solid) was recognized from 3,000 Microsoft’s partners during the World Partner Conference (WPC) for its accomplishments and excellent work. The WPC is an event organized annually by Microsoft for their business partners. During this event, held in Los Angeles, California from July 10-14, Rock Solid received the award “2011 Partner of the Year – Public Sector Worldwide” for the development of the solution, Respond ©, implemented in the government of the Republic of Panamá. This software has also been implemented in the state of Indiana and in 20 municipalities of Puerto Rico, and it’s Rock Solid’s reference for potential clients throughout the world.
“We are talking about 600,000 Microsoft partners worldwide, and only 120 of us have received recognition”, mentioned Eng. Ángel Pérez, Vice President of Rock Solid. The award gave the company recognition in the Microsoft community; nevertheless, Rock Solid decided to establish a booth in the Convention’s Expo in order to promote their most popular products and present other successful case studies to partners from more than 100 different countries, with the goal of establishing business with these other companies. Pérez says: “People from Estonia went to our booth…, also some people from Australia passed by”. These types of events present opportunities for the continued growth of the company and also to promote its export plans. Rock Solid stands out for hiring local talent and develop its potential, fact that impact positively the economy of Puerto Rico and demonstrates Rock Solid’s ability to overcome adversity in front of such a grim panorama. The company as of today consists of approximately 100 professionals and generates annual sales of $10 million. It’s unquestionable the success this puertorrican company has had and its potential to continue growing.
