Elegis is an eligibility and fraud detection system developed by Rock Solid Technologies designed for local and federal social welfare programs. Build with the latest Microsoft technologies, Elegis, integrates eligibility, re-certification, and audits processes to detect fraud patterns or inconsistencies of data against data from other departments of the local and federal government. This web application uses ASP.NET combined with the ASP.NET Ajax Control Tool Kit which provides flexibility and efficiency.
Since November 2010, the Department of Health (Medicaid program) has been using the solution in its 94 offices in Puerto Rico. The Program is manage by the CIO of the Government of Puerto Rico, Mr. Juan Eugenio Rodríguez, who had projected that this new system will save over $10MM annually to the government. Today, the system contains exchange records from various agencies and offices, such as: Finance, Department of Labor, CRIM, Department of Health, Department of Transportation and Public Works, Department of Natural Resources, PARIS and SSA-BENDEX. Elegis© allows to:- Keep records of each recipient of a social plan, along with members of your household and the findings from other agencies, if any.
- Generate alerts of possible fraud for those records that fail business rules of eligibility due to inconsistent data with other agencies or departments.
- Generate reports and appointments for those households that fall outside the parameters of eligibility.
