Manhattan, KS has taken their next step in digital government, releasing a new mobile 311 app, 'Report It!'. The new app will allow residents to submit non-emergency issues that are directed to the appropriate departments and city officials to be resolved. According to Kiel Mangus, Assistant City Manager
“We want to provide accountability to our citizens. Our staff will be updating service requests as they come in, and the residents who have reported them will receive updates until those issues are resolved.”
The citizens of Manhattan, KS will now be able to upload a photo or video and provide a description of the problem. The photo or video is not required but is helpful to staff responding to the report. The app will geo-locate the user, or the user can enter an address for the report. The City of Manhattan and their new smartphone app will make reporting issues quicker and more efficient. Manhattan took to Twitter to promote the app:

Their new mobile app with help with civic engagement and keeping everyone in the community updated on issues that have been reported, using the near me feature citizens can review issues that are close to their location. KSNT reports
